sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was born on July 6, 1946, as Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. He's the oldest son of Francesco Stallone Sr. (a hairdresser) and Jackie Stallone (astrologer, and dancer). He has a younger brother, Frank Stallone, who is an actor and musician. Childbirth complications led to the lower left portion of Sylvester's face paralyzed, giving him his now-iconic "snarling" appearance and somewhat slurred speech. Stallone has spent a significant portion of his childhood in foster care because of the volatile relationship between parents and children. The couple separated later. Stallone did his studies in drama at American College in Switzerland, before moving to the University of Miami. He left school before completing his degree and moved to New York City to pursue acting as a profession.
