Niykee is still writing songs, even though she has been swept up in the latest chaos. She was hand-picked for this year's YouTube Brandcast by Snoop and Snoop was on stage with her. The singer-songwriter is drawn to her, and is always looking at new beats. They often inspire songs. Within five seconds, I'm able to tell the quality of a song or not. Then I get an idea for the song and write it immediately. When I am playing my guitar outside on my porch, words start to flow. Most of the time it is completed in just thirty minutes. Niykee keeps working on her skills as a poet and the lyricist. She says that the trauma she endured through the years can be a source of unique motivation. She says that even when she's not writing about things that have actually happened, all of her pain due to her childhood and the losing her younger sister makes it's way into her music. This influences my music and adds more profund significance. To me, this is the key for success.
